Tajik President to make landmark visit to Kuwait next Sunday

H. E. Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydov, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait, said the Tajik President will meet Kuwait’s political leadership and will also participate in the Tajik Trade and Tourism Forum, aimed at promoting tourism between the two countries.

Ambassador Zubaydov praised Kuwait as a leading country in combating terrorism and expressed Tajikistan’s desire to support and exchange expertise in this area.
His Excellency Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydov, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait, announced that Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will make an official two-day visit to Kuwait starting next Sunday, Al Qabas newspaper reported.
Ambassador Zubaydov told the newspaper that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various areas, including economic, cultural, and food security fields. He noted that the program includes signing ten agreements covering economic, tourism, investment, trade, and other sectors.
He added that the President of Tajikistan is scheduled to meet with Kuwait’s political leadership and several senior officials. Additionally, he will participate in the Tajik Trade and Tourism Forum, aimed at promoting tourism between the two countries, which will be held during the visit. An introductory seminar on the book “The Tajik,” translated from Tajik into Arabic, is also planned.
The ambassador also highlighted that his country’s president will attend the fourth international counter-terrorism conference, “Dushanbe March,” which Kuwait is set to host with the United Nations next week. He expressed optimism about the conference’s success.
Ambassador Zubaydov praised Kuwait’s efforts in combating terrorism, noting that he considers it one of the leading countries in this field. He announced his country’s desire to support Kuwait and exchange expertise in this area.
He also revealed that the date for the next meeting of the joint committee and political consultations between the two countries will be decided after the visit.
Tajik Cultural Week from November 10-16
The ambassador announced the launch of Tajik Cultural Week in Kuwait, taking place from November 10-16 in celebration of Tajik Independence Day. The event will feature various cultural and musical performances at the Opera House and Jaber Cultural Center.
