Syrian expatriate gets 3 years sentence and deportation for forging Civil ID
The Court of Cassation has sentenced a Syrian expatriate to three years in prison, with hard labor, followed by deportation, after he was found guilty of forging a transaction related to a lost civil ID card under a fictitious name.
The forger used this false identification to carry out various transactions and deceived an employee into believing the documents were legitimate.
However, the employee noticed that the forger had a “block” on his record in state systems, prompting him to notify his supervisor.
Upon reviewing the transaction, it was discovered to be forged. Detectives were immediately alerted, and the accused was subsequently arrested.
