State property exploitation soars over 55% in lowest governorate

Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, the Kuwait Municipality’s Director General, instructed emergency teams to inspect commercial stores encroaching on state property in dirt yards, squares, and sidewalks.

  • An official source from the Kuwait Municipality stated that the reward for excellent work amounts to approximately one million and 300 thousand dinars, which will be distributed among about 2,500 male and female employees.

Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, the Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, has instructed emergency teams in the governorate branches to start conducting inspection tours of commercial stores that are encroaching on state property, particularly in dirt yards, squares, and on sidewalks.

Informed sources from the Al-Rai municipality reported that the rate of illegal exploitation of vacant lots belonging to state property has exceeded 55 percent in the lowest governorate, according to statistics, which is a rather high percentage.

In this context, the emergency team of the Hawalli Municipality Branch, led by Ibrahim Al-Sabaan, conducted field tours that led to the issuance of 16 violation reports. These violations include the exploitation of an area not specified in the license, and a warning was issued for trespassing on state property, in preparation for removal.

On the other hand, the municipality announced that the reward for excellent work would be deposited into municipal employees’ accounts after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. An official source in the municipality revealed to Al-Rai newspaper that the amount for excellent work is approximately one million and 300 thousand dinars, which will be disbursed to about 2,500 male and female employees.
