South Abdullah Al-Mubarak streets lit by first-of-its-kind renewable energy

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has announced the activation of street lighting in the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak suburb using renewable energy sources, marking a significant step forward in sustainable infrastructure across its housing developments.

In a press release, the PAHW confirmed that this is the first project under its jurisdiction emphasizing its commitment to conserve energy and increase efficiency in residential care projects — whether through street lighting or smart public buildings, reports Al-Rai daily.

It noted that the use of renewable energy reflects its dedication to environmentally responsible development.

Furthermore, the PAHW reported it is overseeing the implementation of 31 public buildings in the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak suburb, in addition to 186 other buildings spread across various residential areas.
