
The Egyptian presidency announced that the international summit, the “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit,” will take place on the afternoon of Monday, October 13, 2025, in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The summit will be co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and US President Donald Trump, with leaders from over twenty countries expected to participate.
The summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new chapter in regional security. Organizers highlighted that the meeting aligns with the US President’s vision for regional peace and his ongoing efforts to resolve global conflicts.
The US State Department confirmed invitations to numerous countries, including Spain, while sources reported that Iran has also been invited.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled to travel to Egypt to attend the summit, representing the United Kingdom.
The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will also participate. A UN spokesperson confirmed that Guterres will travel to Egypt for the summit and return to UN headquarters on Wednesday.
The summit represents a major diplomatic effort, bringing together world leaders to discuss concrete steps toward peace, humanitarian relief, and long-term stability in the Gaza region and the broader Middle East.
