Sharjah Book Fair spotlights Kuwait’s dedication to culture and arts

Khalifa Al-Rabah, head of the National Council for Culture, stated that the Kuwaiti pavilion at SIBF showcases a diverse array of books and publications that embody the rich cultural heritage and pioneering identity of the State of Kuwait.

The 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) features a wide range of books, cultural materials, and literary publications showcasing Kuwait’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.

Kuwait’s pavilion at SIBF features literary publications including novels, poetry collections, story anthologies by Kuwaiti and Arab writers, and works on historical, cultural, and artistic topics that reflect Kuwaiti identity.

 

Khalifa Al-Rabah, Director of the Kuwait International Book Fair and head of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature delegation, confirmed that the council’s pavilion at the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) features a wide range of books, cultural materials, and literary publications showcasing the country’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, according to Q8-Press.

Al-Rabah told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature’s participation in the exhibition reflects Kuwait’s commitment to promoting culture and the arts, with the Kuwaiti pavilion showcasing a diverse array of books and publications that embody the rich cultural heritage and pioneering identity of the State of Kuwait.

He added that the council is featuring all of its recent publications at this exhibition, organized by the SharjahBook Authority, including World Culture, International Creativity, the World of Knowledge series, World of Thought, World of Thought magazine, Al-Arabimagazine, The Little Arabi, heritage books, and special publications.

He further explained that the State of Kuwait’s pavilion offers numerous literary publications, including novels, poetry collections, story anthologies by Kuwaiti and Arab writers, and cultural works exploring historical, cultural, and artistic topics that reflect the Kuwaiti identity.

He emphasized the importance of culture as a key element in strengthening national identity and building bridges of communication between nations through participation in this exhibition, “where Kuwait hopes to enhance its cultural presence, strengthen ties, and exchange knowledge with other countries of the world.”

He noted that book fairs, including the Sharjah International Book Fair, aim to promote culture and knowledge while providing a platform for cultural exchange between countries. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to explore new books, literary works, and cultural publications, as well as to participate in events and seminars on a range of topics.

Al-Rabah expressed his admiration for the remarkable growth of the Sharjah International Book Fair each year, both in terms of organization and accompanying events. He praised the dedication and vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, who has been instrumental in the exhibition’s development.
