Scattered showers expected to continue until tomorrow

The Kuwait Meteorological Department has announced that scattered light to moderate showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are expected to continue across the country until tomorrow afternoon.

According to Abdul Aziz Al-Qarawi, Director of the Meteorological Department, the showers are due to an extension of a low-pressure system at the surface, accompanied by a moist air mass, coinciding with another low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere. This combination is leading to the formation of low and medium clouds, interspersed with cumulonimbus clouds.

Al-Qarawi explained that these conditions have created the potential for scattered light to moderate showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, from this morning until tomorrow afternoon. The showers will be accompanied by active winds that may raise dust and reduce visibility, especially in open areas. In addition, sea waves are expected to rise.

The low-pressure system is expected to weaken by tomorrow afternoon, allowing for the advance of a high-pressure system. This will lead to a gradual stabilization of weather conditions, with clouds and the possibility of rain dissipating. The weather will generally be warm during the day and mild at night.
