Sahel App now sends instant weather alerts, including air warnings

Yousef Kazim, the spokesperson for the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel), said the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation has introduced a new service — electronic weather alerts on the Sahel App — including real-time air warning notifications.

Kazim explained that the feature is designed to keep Kuwaiti citizens and residents promptly informed of weather-related updates.

The notifications, according to Al-Rai daily, will pop up instantly on users’ phone screens, with full details accessible in the app’s ‘Notifications’ menu.

He praised the collaboration between the DGCA, its Meteorology Department, and the Sahel technical team for successfully activating the service.

This step, he noted, enhances the app’s functionality and strengthens public safety by ensuring timely access to critical weather information.
