He said that over 32 million transactions were carried out through Sahel this year, reflecting both public confidence in the platform and the government’s commitment to improving service efficiency.
Kazem explained that Sahel has grown significantly since its launch, starting with 123 government services and now offering more than 460 through various ministries and entities. This expansion has made it the most widely used government application in the country, serving as a key tool for expediting transactions and easing the burden on citizens, residents, and government service centers.
He highlighted the launch of the country’s first integrated digital government journey, the Newborn Journey, as one of the most notable achievements in the past year. Kazem also noted that a comprehensive, upgraded version of Sahel is under development. Upcoming features include the issuance of house and marriage certificates and the introduction of Balag, a central reporting service. He added that these projects will enhance user experience and advance service integration.
