The Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior stressed during the meeting the keenness of the Ministry of Interior to support the Ministry of Works and the General Authority for Roads. He said this in order to implement the road maintenance plan according to the schedule, avoid delays, and overcome obstacles to projects, and to carry out their work properly.

Furthermore, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef also directed the continuation of work in the development of services, emphasising the achievement of the ambitions and aspirations of citizens, and addressing the grave violation of all road and street problems definitively, calling for the establishment for a 24-hour joint operations room from all concerned parties with road development operations in the country.

Moreover, in this context Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, pointed out that the Ministry of Public Works and the General Authority for Roads and Land Transport are in the process of signing contracts of 18 exercises within the next few days. This is being done for the radical maintenance of all major highways and internal streets in the six governorates of Kuwait with international, Gulf and local companies.

She also appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the work of the existing entities, in addition to developing road management plans during the maintenance process, which includes closing some roads and opening alternative roads to ensure smoother flow of traffic.

Appealing to citizens and residents, Dr. Noura urged them to cooperate with the ministry to contribute to the speed of completion, and called on them to understand the maintenance procedures and the resulting closure of roads or changing routes or other procedures in order to reach a new vision of Kuwait that keeps pace with the future.
