Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir for his patronage, saying the project reflects Kuwait’s commitment to sustainable national development.

He described Phase III as a major expansion of the landmark park, further strengthening its role as a center for culture, recreation and community engagement. The project is part of a wider portfolio of Amiri Diwan developments, including the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre, Al-Salam Palace Museum and Kuwait Motor Town.

The ceremony included the national anthem, Quranic recitation and a documentary highlighting the cultural centers affiliated with the Amiri Diwan and their role in preserving Kuwait’s heritage.

Head of the Supervisory, Management and Follow-up Committee Anwaar Al-Yatama said the opening of Phase III and its new Al-Soor Theater represented another milestone in Kuwait’s cultural development, connecting the country’s heritage with its future aspirations.

She also thanked government entities, artists, organizing teams and private-sector partners — including National Bank of Kuwait, Kuwait Finance House, Alshaya Group, Ooredoo and Best Al-Yousifi — for their support.

The ceremony featured a national artistic performance titled “Al-Soor” (The Wall), presented by prominent Kuwaiti artists and depicting key moments in the country’s history and themes of national unity, loyalty and solidarity.

Following the ceremony, the Prime Minister toured the indoor and outdoor cultural, tourism, recreational and logistical facilities of Phase III.
