Power cut to four illegally converted properties in Al-Hajin

The Ministry of Interior announced the disconnection of power supply to four properties in the Al-Hajin area after authorities discovered they were being used for activities that violated their licensed purposes.

The action followed a field inspection campaign carried out in coordination with the Public Authority for Youth, which revealed that the properties had been converted into carpentry workshops, a factory, and storage facilities for wedding supplies. Some of the premises had also been subdivided and used as accommodation for workers.

During the operation, security personnel apprehended 17 expatriates for violations related to residency and labor regulations, a local Arabic daily reports.

Authorities said the campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to address unauthorized property use, enforce municipal and labor laws, and maintain public safety standards across the country.
