Poland unveils tourism attractions to Kuwaiti audience at ‘Travel Roadshow’

The Polish Embassy hosted the “Poland Travel Roadshow” event to promote Polish tourism and enhance bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Poland.

The “Poland Travel Roadshow” was graced by the presence of H.E. Andrzej Szejna, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, and Mr. Osama Al Mekhyal, Assistant Undersecretary of the Tourism Sector at the Ministry of Information.

The event featured members of the Polish Tourism Organization, along with representatives from Polish tourism businesses and chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants. It provided an excellent platform for productive discussions on potential cooperation in tourism between Kuwait and Poland. Attendees also had the opportunity to explore Poland’s rich cultural heritage, historical landscapes, unique culinary traditions, and renowned hospitality.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, H.E. Andrzej Szejna’s visit aims to support and strengthen bilateral relations between Poland and Kuwait, with a particular focus on promoting Poland’s thriving tourism sector. The visit comes at a time when the number of Kuwaiti tourists visiting Poland has been steadily increasing.

The Polish official expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their exceptional cooperation and support in organizing the event. He also thanked the Assistant Undersecretary for the Tourism Sector at the Ministry of Information, as well as the Polish Tourism Organization, for their presence in Kuwait and efforts to promote Poland as a modern, attractive destination offering tourists high-quality services at competitive prices.

Moreover, the Polish official warmly welcomed the influencers and representatives from the tourism industry in Kuwait who visited Poland in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland in Kuwait and the Polish Tourism Organization. He expressed confidence that their trip provided an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange and for discovering the many tourist attractions Poland has to offer.

Additionally, the Polish official highlighted the launch of direct flights by Jazeera Airways between Kuwait and Kraków as a significant milestone in promoting tourism between the two nations. He emphasized that this development plays a key role in increasing the popularity of Poland as a travel destination and has greatly facilitated people-to-people interaction.

The Polish official expressed that the bilateral coordination between Kuwait and Poland is strong, with both nations offering mutual support in international forums and sharing similar views on issues related to maintaining international peace and security. He further noted that the upcoming period would witness an unprecedented level of rapprochement between Poland and Kuwait, especially with the coinciding presidencies of Poland in the European Union and Kuwait in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The Head of Mission at the Embassy of Poland in Kuwait, H.E. Michał Cholewa, expressed his delight at the timing of the event, coinciding with the 4th round of political consultations between Poland and Kuwait. He stated that these talks, to be held tomorrow, will testify to the long-standing Polish-Kuwaiti friendship. Kuwait was the first country in the Gulf where Poland established their diplomatic presence.” He also emphasized, that the timing of the joint endeavors is not accidental. Poland and Kuwait currently hold presidencies in the most important regional organizations that they participate in—the European Union for Poland and the Gulf Cooperation Council for Kuwait. Poland is glad that these two presidencies overlap.

Furthermore, Assistant Undersecretary at the Tourism Sector in the Ministry of Information, Mr. Osama Al Mekhyal, extended a warm welcome to the Polish Official and his delegation. He expressed his appreciation for their efforts in organizing the promotional event, which highlighted the beauty and diversity of Poland. Mr. Al Mekhyal also emphasized his anticipation of strengthening the bilateral relationship between Kuwait and Poland in the field of tourism, noting that there is significant potential for growth and cultural exchange between the two nations.
