PAAET, EPA monitor environmental indicators amid current situations

The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) discussed Tuesday with the Environment Public Authority (EPA) means of enhancing joint cooperation in monitoring environmental indicators in Kuwait amid the current situation.
In a press statement, PAAET said Director-General Dr. Hasan Al-Fajjam received EPA’s Acting Director-General Nouf Behbehani during a field visit aimed at reviewing the authority’s capabilities, particularly its central laboratories, and exploring areas of cooperation between the two sides.

The statement added that the visit included a tour of several specialized laboratories for measuring air and water pollution levels, where the delegation was briefed on monitoring and analysis mechanisms as well as the technologies used in tracking environmental indicators.
It noted that discussions also covered ways to benefit from the advanced technical capabilities of these laboratories in a manner that supports response plans to emerging developments and enhances institutional readiness.

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and integration among government entities through the exchange of expertise and resources to improve institutional performance and unify efforts in addressing current challenges.
They also emphasized the need to further develop joint cooperation in technical, technological and training aspects, and to activate the provisions of their joint agreement in line with Cabinet directives calling for greater coordination among state institutions.
