PAAAFR takes measures against illegal fishing

The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources announced “a number of fishing trawlers were seized during Eid al-Fitr holidays for using prohibited fishing nets, in violation of Resolution 8/2004.

This is in addition to shrimp fishing during the ban season, taking advantage of bad weather conditions.

The authority stated in a press release that “a warehouse containing prohibited fishing nets were from the Kazma Bay, in addition to a number of fishing boats. Legal measures were taken and violation reports were issued against them in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and Kuwait Municipality.”
