The initiative aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of smoking and its harmful effects on both individual and public health. Attendees were encouraged to embrace healthy, smoke-free lifestyles, with expert advice provided on the long-term health risks associated with tobacco use.
Dr. Amani Al-Saqabi emphasized that the campaign is part of the Ministry of Health’s strategy to instill a culture of prevention and educate the public about the importance of adopting healthy habits to avoid chronic diseases and improve overall quality of life.
For her part, Dr. Shaima Al-Fares noted that the event is one in a series of awareness initiatives organized by the center in collaboration with various departments at the Ministry of Health.
She thanked the Health Promotion Department for their ongoing support and partnership in reaching community members with vital health messages.
