
Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar on Tuesday said that a formal response from the Iranian side about confirmation of delegation to attend Islamabad Peace Talks is still awaited.
Giving the update about the second round of Islamabad Talks, the information minister said that a formal response from the Iranian side about confirmation of delegation to attend Islamabad Peace Talks is still awaited. Pakistan as the mediator is in constant touch with Iranians and pursuing the path of diplomacy and dialogue. He informed that ceasefire between United States and Iran will end tomorrow evening.
“Decision from Iran to attend the talks before the end of two weeks ceasefire is critical,” he added. Pakistan has made sincere efforts to convince the Iranian leadership to participate in the second round of talks and these efforts continue, said Tarar.
The statement by the minister comes at a time when Pakistan is preparing to hold the second round of peace talks scheduled to be held here in Islamabad. No date for the talks has been announced yet but Pakistani authorities but an American delegation is expected to land in Islamabad soon. – Kuna
