“All’s well that ends well”, fitted perfectly for the Writers’ Forum Kuwait’s last meeting for the year 2022 that was held at the residence of Aamir Diwan, a prominent Hindi poet and Treasurer of the Forum.

The spirit of positivity that started through the recommencement of meetings in-person in the beginning of 2022 continued with equal efficacy till the last meeting which started by a welcome note by the General Secretary of the Forum, Ms. Nazneen Ali, who invited Hindi poetess Ms. Kavita Sarvesh to preside over the meeting. Hindi and Kannada Poet Ameeruddin Ameer was requested to be the Chief Guest for the day.

The meeting incepted with Ms. Nazneen Ali introducing guest member Ms. Sangeeta Choube and Sanjay Choube whose presence was a testimony for the Forum’s continued progress and expansion particularly after the challenging Pandemic era.

In the first session of the meeting, Biswa Ranjan, narrated a short story in Oriya with a thoughtful message that there is nothing superior than Humanity and there is no better choice than to be a good Human.

The second session, the Poetry session, was as colorful, vigorous, melodious and entertaining as ever. While Mohan Singh recited an English poem of Ms. Parminder Kaur relating to different stages of life, Aamir Diwan tried to rediscover the philosophical angle of love. Veteran Urdu poet Saeed Nazar recited an Urdu Ghazal showcasing his affection for Kuwait while Shakeel Jamshedpuri presented equally mesmerizing Ghazal on various aspects of life. The porosity of Urdu Ghazals was further witnessed in Ghazal by Syed Qadar Muzammil and melodious recitation by Yaseen Dawre. Hindi poetess Ms, Radhika complemented by reciting a Ghazal from the book published in the memory of her late father, while she herself presented her poetry describing the relation between a poet and poetry. Ms. Sangeeta Choube’s melodious Hindi Ghazal was cherished by all while Ms. Nazneen Ali captivated the audience through her heart touching and poignant poem and Ghazal in Urdu. Sanjay Choube’s spontaneous recital was apt for the occasion.

In the final session, Ameeruddin Ameer, expressed his gratitude to the Forum for inviting him as the Chief Guest. He mentioned each poet appreciating the creativity witnessed in their presentations. He himself recited his poem in Kannada followed by an equally spellbinding Hindi translation of the same. Ms. Kavita Sarvesh, in her Presidential remark, mentioned that each poet is special in himself / herself. Every member’s poem had a depth, a variation yet a power of expression that made each creation unique in itself. She recited her Hindi poem which was as picturesque as ever. Presence of Ms. Maimuna Chougle and Forum’s patron Mr Ali Chougle made the meeting commendable. Ms. Nazneen Ali concluded the meeting hoping to start the New Year in a delightful way with the announcement of the upcoming event on the occasion of the Republic Day of India. She also expressed her gratitude to the members for their presence, with a special thanks to the host Aamir Diwan for his heartwarming hospitality. The meeting concluded with the members greeting each other while enjoying the savory dishes.
