Media reports from Sri Lanka indicate that scores of websites in the country, including that of the Kuwait Embassy, were hacked by an unknown gang of hackers.
Concerned authorities are understood to have notified the public about the hacking incident, indicating that site names ending in .lk and .com were especially targeted. There are indications that the hacking could be politically motivated and have links to the terror attacks that hit Sri Lankan on this year’s Easter Sunday.
