Local astronomer, Adel Al-Marzouq, said that high pressure is currently concentrated, covering most parts of the peninsula, and causing light to moderate northwesterly winds, with a speed ranging between 8 and 20 km/h, making the region’s atmosphere cold, dry and cloudless. The temperature at night is expected between 11 and 15 degrees, while the general average during the day falls from 22 to 23, to continue with northwesterly winds until Wednesday, 21 December.

Al-Marzouq added that jet winds will begin to blow over the Arabian Peninsula after that, followed by the formation of a deep air depression which will cover the central and western regions and its coasts overlooking the Red Sea, which will lead to the winds shifting to southeasterly winds. Moreover, he said that with the onset of winter in the region on the 21st, the night will be very long and the day very short, while scattered thunderstorms are likely to continue until the early morning hours of Saturday. He explained that next Saturday morning will most likely experience northwest winds and clear, cloudless weather, with a very slight decrease in temperature.
