Two Asian expat workers were injured in a water heater explosion at a store in the Jahra Industrial area, Al Jarida reported. The Public Relations and Media Department of the General Fire Force said that the Central Operations Department received a report of a roof collapsing at the store, which was caused by the explosion. The injured workers were taken to the hospital by emergency medical technicians.
In a separate incident, the Fire Department extinguished a waste fire on Salmi Road without any significant injuries. The department said that it received a report of the fire on Wednesday and dispatched firefighters from the Jahra, Al-Sour, and Support Fire Stations to the scene. The firefighters were able to control and extinguish the fire quickly, and there were no reports of any injuries.
