The General Department of Narcotics Control has arrested 31 people of diverse nationalities across 18 cases for possessing 14 kilograms of various narcotics, including shabu, hashish, chemicals, marijuana, and heroin.

The seized items also included 42,000 pills of psychotropic substances, an unlicensed firearm with ammunition, and sums of money derived from illicit sales, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a statement issued by the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Directorate-General of Drugs Control the Ministry of Interior, when confronted with the seized items, the defendants admitted ownership, acknowledging their intent for trafficking and abuse. They, along with the confiscated items, were referred to the appropriate authority for the necessary legal actions.
