The World Allergy Organization (WAO), which is the largest academy specialized in the field of allergy and immunology in the world, has chosen the Abdulaziz Al-Rashed Center for Allergy Diseases in Kuwait as a distinguished center in the field of allergy and immunology worldwide.

On this occasion, Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, said he is proud of Kuwait’s achievement and congratulated all medical, technical, and administrative staff working at the center. Al-Qabas quoting Dr. Al-Saeed said this new success is not only for the center but for the health system.

Al-Saeed added this success indicates the excellence of performance and the efficiency of its employees, which is a cornerstone in reaching this rank, appreciating them for their sincere efforts, research excellence, and perseverance, leading to the best medical practices.

For her part, Mona Al-Ahmad, a consultant in allergy and immunology, a member of the Covid-19 vaccine committee at the Ministry of Health, and head of the Allergy and Immunology Department at the center said this honor bestowed on the center by the World Allergy Organization, “puts us in front of a new and greater challenge to achieve more excellence and success.”

She explained the Al-Rashed Allergy Center with this honor is now among 6 recognized centers in the Middle East and Africa, and 53 international centers, which aim to cooperate and follow-up research and international studies, holding educational workshops, and exchanging experiences, in an effort to improve the quality of healthcare and provide the best treatment for patients.
