The Public Authority for Youth has announced opportunities for volunteers to organize the 45th Kuwait International Book Fair, to be held from November 16 to 26, in cooperation with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.
The Director of the Voluntary Work Department at the authority, Walid Al-Ansari, said in a statement based on the national strategy for volunteer work, which works to develop, empower and encourage participation of volunteers, to work in morning or evening shifts that suit them, reports a local Arabic daily.
Al-Ansari pointed out that there is a training program for all volunteers on ‘The Art of Dealing with the Public”, noting that the morning period for volunteer work is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, while the evening shift is from 4 to 9 pm.
He added that those wishing to train must register in the Volunteer Work Academy program during the book fair, since the exhibition constitutes a gateway for the launch of Volunteer Work Academy program (2022-2023).
He added those wishing to join volunteer work must be between 18 and 34 years old. The registration is done through the “Our Hands” portal on the Public Authority for Youth website (www.youth.gov.kw).
