Members of the Hawalli Governorate Municipality branch emergency team with the help of the Committee to Combat the Phenomenon of Singles Living in Private and Model Housing, have taken into custody the most famous expatriate of Bangladeshi nationality, nicknamed ‘Al-Sharif’ for renting residential apartments and turning them into ‘small rooms’ to accommodate singles or the so-called bachelors.
The head of the team, Ibrahim Al-Sabaan, told Al-Rai that the team, in cooperation with the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior put Sharif under surveillance confirmed that the man was a violators of the laws and regulations of the Kuwait Municipality or the Ministry of Electricity and Water got a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution and took the man into custody
Al-Shabaan after tracing the entry and exit movement of some properties located in Salmiya, the suspect was put under surveillance and during interrogation discovered that he had rented more than six residential apartments. He was subsequently arrested and referred to the concerned authorities to take legal measures against him. Security sources said the man is facing deportation.
