The number of vaccinations to expats and citizens has exceeded two million in Kuwait, according to the global vaccine tracking website, CovidFax, Al Qabas reported.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has intensified efforts to vaccinate about 70% of the country’s population towards achieving community immunity in the shortest period of time, contain the epidemic and stop its spread among segments of society.

Earlier, health officials confirmed to Al-Qabas that the pace of vaccinations has accelerated in the recent period, as the Pfizer’s vaccine shipments are arriving in Kuwait on an almost weekly basis.

Signs the vaccination campaigns are bearing good results is evident in the improvement of the epidemiological situation of the country, and the positive indicators where there is a decrease in the number of deaths and infections from the coronavirus, as well as the remarkable decrease in the number of admissions of Coronavirus patients to intensive care.
