Kuwait has completed the vaccination of nearly 800,000 citizens and residents against Covid-19. Health officials confirmed when the vaccination mark reach one million people during the coming period, the number of daily coronavirus positive cases would reduce, Al Qabas reported.

Health officials said to the daily that the ministry aims to accelerate the pace of vaccinations during the month of Ramadan and urge all the citizens and residents to register for taking the vaccine. Ministry also urged not to postpone the appointment given for vaccination or postponing the date of the second dose, for various reasons, indicating that the delay may cause serious health consequences.

Officials cited the epidemiological situation in some countries has remarkably improved. The UAE was able to vaccinate 92.3% of its total population, yesterday it recorded 2022 new coronavirus cases in a day after it was 3647 new cases at the end of last January.

The health authorities in Britain were able to vaccinate about 62% of the population, and daily infections decreased by 90% and deaths 95% compared to last January, even though the epidemic has witnessed sporadic mutations.

On the other hand, health officials indicated that the Ministry is still awaiting the Audit Bureau’s response regarding the supply of one million doses of the Moderna vaccine, at 12 million dinars, noting that obtaining internationally approved vaccines will ensure access to greater rates of vaccinations in the future.
