Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah confirmed that the ministry is waiting for approval by international organizations to vaccinate the age group from 5 to 12 years. The approval is expected soon, and the vaccination plan is in place, Al-Rai reported.

Sheikh Basel said at the inauguration of the Mubarak Al-Hasawi Center in the Hittin area, that “life in Kuwait is normal, and Kuwait is among few countries where life is normal.”

He pointed out that the number of cases is improving, and the vaccination process is also going excellent, and everything is available while adhering to health requirements, whether in schools, complexes, or places of worship.

He added, Some activities may have restrictions, but they are less restrictive, and the concerned ministry is notified of this activity, to comply with the requirements, on the basis that we live and coexist with the epidemic until we get rid of it.

Regarding the period of providing the booster dose, he explained that it started this week and will continue until the end of the vaccination campaign, which will continue for the next year, referring to the conditions for taking the dose, as more than 6 months should pass after receiving the second dose.

He said that the school year in the private sector began and in the government sector next Sunday, and there are many coordination meetings between the ministries of health and education, to develop plans and mechanisms, and there are work teams in educational areas in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, and 6 centers have been allocated to PCR examination to deal with any emergency in schools.
