Vaccinating arrivals will start after about 6 weeks as the vaccination process is progressing at a steady pace with the phased arrival of vaccine batches that have been contracted with companies, Al Rai daily reported.

The sources stated that the first group of expatriates to be contacted to receive the vaccine are domestic workers, as part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to attain the greatest possible community immunity, especially since this group is considered one of the most vulnerable groups to infection or transmission due to contact.

This is in keeping up with the speeding up of the vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus and the efforts of the Ministry of Health to confront the epidemic swiftly, health sources confirmed to Al-Rai daily.  The vaccination procedures are proceeding according to the established plan and achieving remarkable progress, as the online registration to be vaccinated has streamlined the process for citizens and expats to be vaccinated.
