Returnees, who received two vaccination doses will still have to undergo institutional quarantine if they travel and return to the country, as a measure to prevent the entry of new strains of Coronavirus, according to recommendations from the World Health Organization, high-ranking government sources revealed to Al-Qabas daily.

Sources also affirmed that the decision is subject to change after the population is vaccinated at a higher rate as there is an increased demand for vaccination.

The sources pointed out that the high number of infections in the country at present does not allow those vaccinated at home to be quarantined.

The Corona Committee will submit its report next Thursday, which includes assessing the spread of the epidemic in the country and monitoring the indicators of the virus locally and abroad. It will also include several recommendations, most notably about the partial curfew before the holidays, with an emphasis on adherence to health regulations and urging members of the population to get vaccinated.
