Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) denied that it published news circulating on social media on the extension of the partial curfew in the country.
The agency affirms that it reserves its legal right to hold any party or person who is proven to be behind this incorrect story before the judiciary.
Social media went viral last night stating three areas Jleeb, Mahboula and Farwaniya would come under complete curfew today.
The unverified news created panic as very long lines were seen from early morning in grocery stores and in some cases people trying to leave the area to relocate.
