The Court of Cassation has affirmed the regulations by supporting the judgment of the Court of Appeal and the Criminal Court, which fined an accused the amount KD5,000 for managing the Ateej Al-Masiyan account, Al Rai reported. He is accused of creating and operating a news accounts via Twitter without a licence.
The court ruled that the defendants were innocent of charges of insulting Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the Emirates, broadcasting false news and rumors, and harming the state’s interests.
