In continuation of the monitoring efforts on various health institutions and private medical centers, the Drug Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health has discovered 4 grave violations committed by an unlicensed medical center in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.
The administration explained the violations included the clinic’s practice of dermatology and cosmetology, without the presence of a licensed doctor in addition to arresting an Asian domestic worker who had escaped from her sponsor and practicing medicine, and using medical devices on patients.
The inspectors also seized from the facility medicines and cosmetics because the center did not obtain the approval of the Ministry of Health those medicines on its premises including some of the medicines came from unknown sources and were not purchased from a legal local agent.
The administration clarified that within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the sectors of the ministry and other concerned authorities in the country, the Health Licensing Department in the Ministry of Health and the Public Authority for Manpower were consulted during the inspection procedures, and the necessary legal measures were taken in this regard.
