An unidentified Egyptian who was unable to pay 3,000 dinars attempted to end his life by jumping from the Jaber Bridge into the sea.
A security source told Al-Anba, when passersby saw the man attempting to jump from the bridge, informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and police rushed to the scene and talked the man into giving up the idea.
He was then taken to the Shamiya Police Station and a case has been filed against him. Security sources say this is the third such attempt.
