The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, UAE has issued a new circular stating that all UAE federal government employees must undergo a PCR Covid-19 test at their own expense every 7 days, local media reported.

Though employees who have received both doses of their Covid vaccines are exempted from the requirement.

According to the latest media reports, any employees with health conditions that prevent them from taking the Covid vaccine will need to undergo a PCR test. However, the expense will be borne by the entity they work for.

The new measures are part of the UAE government’s efforts in addressing the pandemic, limiting its spread and repercussions, and protecting the health of employees.

Previously all federal government employees in UAE were required to take a PCR test every 14 days at their own expense.
