The 1,500-room resort is one of the region’s most talked-about openings

Wynn Al Marjan Island looks set to become a new architectural landmark in the UAE.

With views of the Arabian Gulf, the Ras Al Khaimah resort’s doors are due to open in 2027.

The project looks set to contain a casino, around 18,500 sq m in size, which will make it one of the biggest in the world.

What’s more, Wynn Resorts’ CEO Craig Billings has been quoted as saying the proposed venue will be “larger than Wynn Las Vegas”.

First reported by our colleagues at Hotelier Middle East, the opening could change the face of the UAE as we know it.

With an estimated cost of Dhs14billion, the resort will have 1,500 rooms, suites and villas – while you can also look forward to shopping and spa facilities, alongside 24 dining and lounge experiences.

Designed for both longer visits and day trips from neighbouring emirates, the resort has something for everyone – including nightly state-of-the-art laser and light shows.

Billings said: “We have spent the past year meticulously programming and concepting Wynn Al Marjan Island, carefully considering its unique location.

“I am incredibly proud of our design and development team’s ability to impart our legacy of rich, thoughtful design into a sun-soaked beachside resort that will delight customers, new and old.

“We look forward to opening Wynn Al Marjan Island in early 2027.”

The proposed site has historically been a popular staycation spot for Dubai residents looking for quick getaways.

Wynn would not be the first Vegas-based brand to come to the UAE, though.

Another is Caesars Palace Dubai at Bluewaters Island.
