The Ministry of Information has set new conditions for evaluating candidates for supervisory positions based on two criteria — functional capabilities and a personal interview.

Informed sources told a local Arabic daily that the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, has issued a decision specifying the elements and criteria for evaluating the candidates, so that a score of 70% is determined for job capabilities, which depends on job experience in the field of work of the organizational unit for which the candidate is nominated and the proposed plan for its development, leadership features and training courses in while a score of 30% is determined for the personal interview.

The sources stated that the decision requires the announcement of vacant positions on the ministry’s websites and on advertisements to be published for a period of 15 days prior to the date specified for receiving applications
