Users of the “Twitter” platform, which was recently bought by billionaire Elon Musk, faced problems logging into their accounts on the network this afternoon in many parts of the world, according to reports on the “Down Detector” website, which specializes in monitoring information malfunctions.

At noon, the site recorded more than 4,200 reports in the United States, and more than 1,600 in France. According to the observations of Agence France-Presse journalists, it was not possible through the Twitter website and its application for mobile devices to access the event bar to view the latest tweets, but it was still possible to view some accounts or post tweets, reports Al-Rai daily.

Twitter has suffered technical problems in recent months, especially at the end of December, when some users were unable to access their accounts or view some accounts.

Digital platforms frequently face malfunctions that impede access to them for some time, while stopping services for long periods remain exceptional.

According to Jasmine Enberg, an analyst at Insider Intelligence, the social network, which counted more than 368 million monthly active users in the world in 2022, will lose about 32 million users by 2024, especially due to the spread of negative content or the increase in the frequency of malfunctions.
