The Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait, Touba Sonmez, discussed with the President of the Union of Foundations and Charitable Societies, Dr. Nasser Al-Ajmi, and representatives of a number of those institutions in the country, the idea of establishing a city in the name of Kuwait, in the Turkish areas affected by the devastating earthquake.

The ambassador expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Kuwaiti government and people, stressing that the Kuwaiti solidarity with the Turkish people as a result of the earthquake goes beyond ordinary relations to fraternal ones, and it was evident through the air bridge ordered built by the Kuwaiti political leadership from the first moments of the earthquake, in addition to the popular outpouring of donations during this natural calamity.

For his part, Al-Ajmi expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the devastating earthquake, pointing out that he and the Turkish ambassador and representatives of charitable associations and foundations discussed a number of issues that concern the important needs of those affected at the present time.
