The insurance policy for the oil sector cost the KPC 22 million dinars (equivalent to 72.4 million dollars), while the increase in the assets of the oil sector reached 47.1 billion dinars by the end of the last fiscal year 2021/2022.
The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries have recently completed a number of major projects such as environmental fuels, Al-Zour refinery, the fifth gas line, oil gathering centers and gas stations, and the KPC has now exited the construction phase and embarked on the operation mode, raising the assets of the Corporation in the to 155 billion dollars, reports a local Arabic daily.
The sources pointed out that the performance of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its companies during 2022 was good, and therefore it was one of the factors in obtaining good discounts in the new insurance policy, because no significant accidents occurred.
The sources said that the insurance policy includes all oil companies except the Kuwait International Petroleum Company, and includes facilities, buildings, assembly centers, gas stations and refineries.
