There is a proposal to transfer the affiliation of nurseries from the Ministry of Social Affairs to the Ministry of Education, provided the nurseries are jointly supervised by the ministries of Social Affairs, Education and Health, each in its field of work, based on the government action plan in the field of child care and education.
Al-Anba daily has learned from private sources in the Ministry of Social Affairs that the General Secretariat for Planning will be provided with the vision of the Ministry of Social Affairs to transfer the dependency.
On the need to amend the legislation on the Child Protection Law, according to which the Ministry of Affairs is responsible for regulating the work of nurseries, the sources said, the issue of legislation and the extent of the need for amendment is due to a vision set by the General Secretariat for Planning and Development.
On the other hand, the sources indicated that the Supreme Council for the Family, in the Council of Ministers, at its last meeting took a decision about the formation of the Special Committee for the Empowerment of Women and a Committee for Protection from Domestic Violence as stipulated in the Law.
