A traffic policeman, with the rank of corporal, was hit by a motorbike driver when he was directing traffic on the Sixth Ring Road.
The policeman was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and his condition is believed to be critical.
The driver of the bike who is believed to be a citizen has been detained and referred for investigation.
