The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has affirmed its vigilant oversight and continuous collaboration with state authorities concerning public structures within Sabah Al-Ahmad City. These buildings, meticulously designed and constructed to meet the highest standards, have been delivered to the relevant entities.

The PAHW has revealed its ongoing engagement with three distinct projects within Sabah Al-Ahmad City. The first project encompasses the construction, completion, and maintenance of 20 vertical residential complexes comprising 390 apartments within the residential suburb.

The second project involves the provision, installation, execution, and maintenance of a primary station with an 11/132 kV voltage capacity in the city’s industrial suburb. Additionally, it encompasses the finalization of sewage outlets and the interconnection of the treated water network through a 300 mm conduit along the “Port Abdullah – Al-Wafra” road within Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential City.

Anticipated for completion this month, the Authority expects to take delivery of the 20 residential buildings, each housing 390 apartments. The Primary Receipt Committee undertook an inspection of the contract works on July 31.

Progress on the power station project in the industrial suburb continues apace, achieved a completion rate of 28.3% as of last July — 13.6% ahead of schedule.

Regarding the contract devoted to the provision and installation of subterranean cables to supply a central substation in the industrial suburb, work commenced in May, aiming for completion by July of the following year, as outlined in the schedule.

Furthermore, the PAHW disclosed that the connection of the city to the treated water network, via a 300 mm conduit on the “Mina Abdullah Road – Al-Wafra,” has reached a completion rate of 36%, progressing at a monthly rate of 7.2%. This task is projected to be finalized in November.

The Authority employs its specialized engineering teams to monitor the execution of remaining site works and services within the city, in accordance with recommendations from the Council of Ministers. It emphasizes its readiness to collaborate with governmental bodies to cater to the needs of citizens, residents, and the pioneers residing in the city’s suburbs.
