The Central Statistical Administration on marriages and divorces for 2022 show most Kuwaitis tied the knot in winter, while a majority parted ways in the summer, especially during August.
According to details published by the office, 969 marriages between Kuwaitis were recorded in March, 886 in February, 822 in December and 814 in November, while the highest number of divorces (644) were recorded in August and 640 in June.
The lowest number of marriages was recorded between a Kuwaiti couple in April (486 cases), as well as the lowest number of divorces for a Kuwaiti couple (409 cases).
The total number of divorces during 2022 was 8,307 cases, including 6,393 divorce cases for a Kuwaiti husband and 1914 for a non-Kuwaiti husband.
