The Minister of Health, Dr. Basil Al-Sabah has met with Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airlines twice in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Central Agency for Information Technology, airlines, and specialists in information systems.
The proposals of the two Airlines submitted to the Ministry of Health regarding the normal return procedures for aviation movement in Kuwait, reducing home quarantine to a week, and opening the airspace with Countries that are directly banned according to health measures are still under study, Al-Qabas reported.
The proposals were discussed from two perspectives, the first from the procedural point of view, and the second from the technical side.
The source told the daily that the health authorities recommended that if the proposals are implemented, the traveling procedures would be automatic and not manual and that the medical laboratories that will conduct the smears for travelers will have the capacity to accept the numbers of arrivals in the country. The source indicated that the accredited medical laboratories have the ability to take 20,000 swabs per day.
