After a gap of more than one and half years the first direct flight from India to Kuwait with passngers is expected on Thursday. After the issuance of the General Administration of Civil Aviation’s circular regarding the resumption of direct commercial flights with Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Al-Rai learned from informed sources at Kuwait International Airport that the first direct flights from Egypt will arrive at dawn on Thursday, followed by two flights from India.

The sources indicated that the decision to restart direct flights with countries will contribute to the recovery of air navigation in the country.

The sources concluded that the General Administration of Civil Aviation has developed a plan and a mechanism of action and distribution of tasks to all parties operating at Kuwait Airport to prepare to receive direct flights with those countries after a hiatus of several months due to the Corona pandemic.

The sources indicated that the opening of direct flights with Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will contribute significantly to lower ticket prices and ease of departure and arrival of travelers directly without obstacles or transiting in other countries.
