Dhirar Al-Ali, a meteorologist stationed at the Meteorological Department, anticipates a gradual rise in relative humidity alongside a decrease in temperature, coinciding with the approach of the weekend.

Al-Ali told Al-Qabas daily that starting from this Thursday evening; the coastal regions are likely to experience a resurgence of high humidity, potentially reaching up to 90%.

This elevated humidity is projected to persist for several days, as the prevailing southeastern sea winds work to gradually mitigate the prevailing heat. Consequently, temperatures might range between 45 and 48 degrees Celsius.

He strongly advised that senior citizens and children below the age of 13 should avoid outdoor activities during this period, owing to the combination of high humidity and elevated temperatures, which could result in discomfort or difficulty breathing. He also emphasized the importance of consuming ample amounts of water.

Al-Ali forecast the possibility of sporadic light rainfall in specific regions throughout the month due to the increased humidity levels.
