Miami police arrested an 18-year-old teenager after she tried to hire a professional killer to get rid of her 3-year-old son. The mother, Jazmine Baez, was reported after she filled out a form on a satirical website about hiring killers to kill her son.
Police said the person running the site received a service request to kill the intended victim, Ben Baez, and contacted the police, who verified the credibility of the information provided.
“Bayez’ request sounded very real,” said site owner Robert Ennis.
According to court documents, the mother was formally charged after she provided pictures of her young child and his whereabouts, and also agreed to hand over more than $3,000 in exchange for his murder.
Baez faces charges of soliciting first-degree murder and third-degree use of a communications device for unlawful use.
