The Kuwait Municipality has placed the “cleanliness file” under the microscope, to monitor violations and the procedures that are taken in their regard to correct them, identify deficiencies and shortcomings, and the extent of the response of those concerned in dealing with them in order to improve the level of cleanliness.
The Director General of the Municipality, Eng Ahmed Al-Manfouhi has issued a decision to form a supervisory team headed by the Director of the General Services Department comprising as members heads of the emergency teams whose tasks will be to remove violations, to monitor all negative phenomena and actions that violate the laws, regulations and decisions related to public hygiene, in all areas under the supervision and control of the municipality, as well as monitoring any defect and shortcomings as a result of the work of cleaning companies in implementing cleaning contracts as well as the administrative units supervising their implementation, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The team called for proposing plans and setting appropriate mechanisms to reduce negative phenomena and actions that violate laws and regulations on public hygiene, proposing the necessary controls to follow up on the work of those in charge of inspection and oversight in the field of hygiene, measuring the achievements of each hygiene inspector and setting up the appropriate mechanism in reviewing the financial benefits against those who prove it.
Failure to live up to the expectation of their work, the hygiene inspectors who hold the capacity of the judicial police and apply the gradually will be warned and then lose the financial advantages.
