The holy month of Ramadan began quietly, Thursday morning, and some schools reported an unexpectedly large absence of students in the primary and intermediate stages, and limited commitment at the secondary stage level.

The school administrations, which finished their preparations for the advent of the holy month, concluded that the schedule of lessons was prepared for all stages with the suspension of art, physical education and music classes, but they were shocked by the phenomenon of the collective absence, reports Al-Rai daily.

Some school administrations told the daily they fear the large number of absences during the holy month and its negative repercussions, the most important of which is the impact of the study plan on the curriculum during the second semester, especially with the decrease in the number of school days and the large number of holidays and vacations.
